Uptown Normal Parking Information Uptown Normal has an abundance of parking options for residents and visitors. All public lots and street spaces in Uptown Normal are currently free of charge to all users! Our new College Avenue deck is open! It features 685 spaces and is only a block away from Uptown center. The deck is free during the evenings (6pm-6am), on Sundays, and the first hour is always free no matter what time of day. Otherwise, parking will be just $1 an hour, and special all-day and overnight rates are also available. Monthly permits are available by calling 309-451-5380. Rethinking Parking in Uptown Normal (PARKING MAP) One of the biggest questions asked by Uptown Normal visitors is "WHERE DO I PARK?!?"
Now that construction is complete, there are many options for parking.
* In front of most businesses, there is convenient one-hour parking right on the street.
* If you're interested in a longer stay, there is two-hour parking in the lots behind Cosi, the Coffehouse and Medici’s. You'll even find that many businesses have rear entrances that are easily accessible from these lots.
* There is also parking for up to three hours in the Amtrak lot.
* If you'd like to spend the whole day strolling the upbeat streets of Uptown Normal, then feel free to park in the College Avenue Parking Deck. The first hour is free and each additional hour is only $1. Parking is also free every night after 6:00 pm.
No matter where you park in Uptown Normal, every business is closer than you think. Believe it or not, if you were to park in a Walmart parking lot, walk to the back aisles and then back to your car, you would have covered enough ground to walk the entire length of Uptown Normal twice!
Convenience has been drastically increased in Uptown and we always have our visitors in mind! So take a drive over to the beautiful streets of Uptown Normal to enjoy all that this recently renovated area has to offer! Parking in Uptown is as easy and convienent as in other popular shopping centers. The pictures below compare the parking areas of both Wal-Mart and Eastland Mall to those in Uptown Normal. These comparisons show that customers have to walk no further to get to their favorite Uptown Normal shop or restaurant than they would buying groceries or visiting a department store.
