Dog Park Rules

• When using Town of Normal dog park facilities, dog owners agree to the following:
• A handler, age 16 or older, must be present at all times and is solely responsible for the actions of their dog(s).
• Children must be at least 6 years of age and accompanied by a parent or guardian in the off-leash area.
• Handlers are limited to three dogs per visit.
• Keep your dog(s) on leash until you are inside the fenced off-leash designated area.
• Leaving dogs unattended is prohibited. Handlers must monitor and control their dog(s) at all times. While inside the off-leash area, handler must have a leash in their possession at all times for each dog.
• Dogs showing aggression must be immediately leashed and removed from the dog park and may be permanently barred from re-entry.
• “Scoop Your Poop”. Handlers must clean up after their dog(s).
• Dogs must be current on all vaccinations and wear a current rabies tag.
• Puppies using the dog park must be older than six (6) months.
• Dogs in heat are not allowed in the dog park.
• No rawhides are allowed. Dog toys may be used unless they create disruptive behavior among other dogs. Please do not bring any items to share including toys, water bowls or water jugs. Please remove any of these items after each visit.
• Drinking fountains are turned off for the winter season, approximately November - March. Please bring water for your own dog(s).
• Please do not bring in food. (Both human food and dog food)
• Professional dog trainers may not use this facility for the conduct of their business.
