The Basin was developed in the early 1990s as part of a residential subdivision. The access road is an original part of old Route 66, adjoining the Union Pacific Railroad. Future plans will bring the Route 66 Bike Trail through the Basin utilizing the old roadway. The Basin includes the Town’s only cricket pitch.
