No more checks, standing in line or hunting for stamps! E-Z pay is a free service that automatically pays your utility bill directly from your bank checking account. Customers using this program are subject to standard late or insufficient fund fees.
It may take multiple cycles (typically one to two) for autopayments to become active. Check your bill to see if it indicates bank draft.
If your bill does not indicate bank draft, you will need to continue to make alternative payments, such as one-time payments mailed in, online, or over the phone. **
Once enrolled, you will continue to receive a copy of your bill (mailed or paperless). A “bank account drafted for” message will appear with the amount and due date on the statement.
Automatic payments will not cover any already-issued bills (electronic or printed). It only covers future bills once you have enrolled.
If you have an already existing account with the Town of Normal, your autopay will not transfer to the new account/address. Please set up online payments or complete another Town of Normal E-Z Pay Authorization Form.
To discontinue the service
Email the Billing Department or write to the Town of Normal (Attn: Water Department/EZ Pay, PO Box 589, Normal, IL 61761-0589). Include your account number. Your request will be handled promptly.
Yes. If you make a manual/one-time payment and have a pending AutoPay Payment scheduled to draft, AutoPay will still draft unless manually removed. To request the autopayment to be stopped, call 309-454-9565 or email the Billing Department.
