Zoning Board of Appeals

The Town of Normal Zoning Board of Appeals consists of 7 members appointed by the Mayor and Council for 4-year terms.  The powers and duties of the Board are set forth in the following sections of the Town of Normal Municipal Code: Boards and Commissions (10.4) and  Administration and Enforcement (15.12) .

The Board's powers and duties include:
  • To hear and make recommendations to the Town Council on all Special Use Permits
  • To hear requests for variations of Zoning Code requirements
