Community Gardens

If you are wanting to grow your own produce but do not have the space, then come enjoy the experience at a Town of Normal organic community garden. The Town has two organic gardens available for your personal gardening indulgence.

The One Normal Plaza Community Garden (PDF) is located off Cole Street, directly north of the parking lot and east of the Community Activity Center (1110 Douglas Street). PLOT DIAGRAM (PDF)

The Ironwood Park Community Garden (PDF) is in Ironwood Park at 1920 North Linden Street. The garden is just east of the playground and southeast of the shelter. PLOT DIAGRAM (PDF)

Open registration for the garden plots is generally held the second week of March and plots are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis with preference given to Normal residents.  Returning gardeners have the option to renew their plot each year.  Renewals and new garden plots are limited to one per family.
